Reasons for Dandruff
Improper Diet
The modern diet is also responsible for dandruff. Now days our diet consist of processed food, fatty and fried food that causes inflammation, which in turn lead to lead to flaking and dandruff.
Include lots of leafy vegetables and protein rich food in your diet.
Oily skin
Oily skin causes formation of white to yellowish flakes to oily regions of the body such as scalp, eye brows, sides of nose, back and inside of ears.
Excessive Use Of Hair Products
Use of hair sprays, gel, mouse, and other heating elements aggravate the problem of dandruff. You should reduce the use of hair products that contains chemicals.
Stress
Excessive stress either emotional or physical lead to dandruff and hair loss. Stress has impact on us both physically and mentally.But try to stick to a routine.
Bad Shampooing
It is always recommended to wash your hair every other day with a mild herbal shampoo because the detergent and chemicals present in common shampoos causes rough and frizzy hair. If you are using a conditioner make sure that you apply it to the length of the hairs and not to the scalp and rinse it thoroughly so that no residue is left in hair.
Treatment For Dandruff
Yogurt And Pepper
Yogurt prevents the scaling of scalp and pepper is anti fungal.The combination of yogurt and pepper is one of the best methods to cure dandruff. Make sure the yogurt and pepper you use is fresh.
Take 2 spoons of pepper and grind it finely. Add this pepper to 1 cup of yogurt. Mix it completely and apply on the scalp. leave it on the scalp for 1 hour and rinse. Use mild shampoo after that.
Baking Soda
This baking ingredient is of great use when it comes to fighting dandruff. Take a spoonful of baking soda and rub it thoroughly in your wet hair and scalp.Leave it on for a minute and then wash it off. Continue this four times a week for few weeks. the result may take time to appear, but this one is the sure remedy for flakes.
Mehendi
Mix mehendi, tea liquor,and curd in a glass bowl and add lemon juice to it. keep aside for 8-10 hours or say overnight. Apply it to hair and scalp in the form of a pack. Leave it for 1-2 hours, rinse it of and wash thoroughly with a mild shampoo. Repeat it once a week for best results.
Neem
Take a handful of neem leaves and boil them in water for some time. strain the water in a bowl. Let it cool down. Wash hair with this water. this method keeps dandruff at bay. You can also make a thick paste by grinding neem leaves in a food processor and apply this paste to the scalp and wash it with water after 10 minutes.
Apple Cider Vinegar
Mix one part of apple cider vinegar with equal part of water and keep aside. Wash your hair normally and then apply the mixture to wet hair. Massage your scalp thoroughly with this mixture. Leave it for 15 minutes and then rinse it off with water. Repeat it daily for a week and say goodbye to dandruff.
Coconut Oil And Lemon Juice
Mix lemon juice and coconut oil in equal proportion. apply it to scalp and leave it for 20 minutes. Repeat it for 3-4 times a week for effective results.
Methi Pack (Fenugreek)
Soak methi seed in water overnight. Make a paste and apply on scalp and hair and leave it for an hour. Rinse it off and wash hair with mild shampoo methi seeds have anti fungal properties. Repeat this pack 3-4 times a week for effective results.
